Autonomy / Cathode Ray / Oblivion
Club Underground - Minneapolis, MN
Autonomy has put together a really fun designed specifically to kick 2010 in the pants. The Minneapolis Power Trio is taking it's quasi-futuristic new sound out to Club Underground to see how it behaves in the real world- and you are invited to witness it!
Autonomy's original drummer, Rockula, is rejoining Ether and Billy for this special performance - but that doesn't mean it's a trip down memory lane. What you'll see at Club Underground will be a reworking of the band's sound and direction complete with new instrumentation and even some completely new tunes. That's not to say the band won't crank out a classic here and there, but the goal of these 3 musicians is to blaze new ground.
Note from Ether: Autonomy is playing the middle slot, sandwiched by two really great Minnesota bands: Cathode Ray and Oblivion. Cathode Ray has a lot of things going for them but we're partial to their singer Leah (formerly of Thoughtcloud, another great band we used to love working with) as she has major chops and is a force to be reckoned with. Oblivion is one of our favorite local trios and they always bring a fun and energetic show- it's a real treat to be work with those guys again and we're even talking about going on the road to invade Wisconsin.
